Fly Fishing - Sir Edward Grey (Lord Grey of Fallodon)

| Review |
This classic book has
stood the test of Time and needs no recommendation beyond that: it
ranks among the greatest elegies to what Jeremy Paxman, in his
introduction to this splendid facsimile edition, terms 'the finest
of sports'.
If you don't have an original early edition of 'Grey', settle
for nothing less than this beautifully produced, cased and leather
bound edition from The
Flyfisher's Classic Library.

About the
author |
Widely considered one of
the finest angling writers, Grey produced the first version of
this work in 1899 when, at the age of 36, his eyesight was fast
fading. As Foreign Secretary, "The lights are going out all
over Europe..." was one of his more enduring remarks...
Chancellor of Oxford in later life... and a great flyfishing
writer... that surely must suffice. |
