Calystegia soldanella - Sea Bindweed - (Convolvulaceae)

It is members of the family of Convolvulaceae (Bindweeds) that drive gardners to distraction since they are almost impossible to eradicate once they establish themselves in flowerbeds. Common throughout Europe and the Mediterranean region, some are beautiful wildflowers that light up wasteground and other places where few other species are to be found.
