This member of the Convolvulus family (Convolvulaceae) is found throughout Britain and Northern Europe as well as in the Mediterranean region. Sea Bindweed is mainly found close to the coast and favours sandy ground. It can often be found cascading down walls and over other plants and flowers from May to September.

This specimen was photographed in the Algarve, Portugal, in May.
