Centaurea pullata

This low-growing plant is a perennial and has pinkish-purple flowers. It favours stony ground and is only found in the Iberian Peninsula. It is a member of the Daisy (Asteraceae) family of plants and flowers from April until July.

The specimen above was photographed in Portugal in May.
