Eupatorium cannabinum - Hemp Agrimony

This tall perennial is very fond of marshy places, although you will also find it growing on waste land. Despite its appearance at first glance, it is not in fact an umbellifer but a member of the daisy family.

Hemp agrimony

The flowers vary from very pale pink to deep mauve and they are seen from July through to September. Hemp Agrimony is a very common plant; there is a great deal of it growing beside the Llangollen Canal.

Wildflowers of Wales

This wildflower is one of many dozens that are featured in the First Nature Guide to the
Wonderful Wildflowers of Wales, Volume 4 - Watersides and Wetlands.
