Geranium dissectum - Cut-leaved Cranesbill - (Geraniaceae)

This straggly, creeping plant has few flowers, which is a pity because they are rather attractive. Cut-leaved Cranesbill is common throughout the UK and Ireland.

Cut-leaved Cranesbill

Rarely will you find this plant in rich pastures; it seems to prefer sparsely grassed areas where the soil is thin.

The plant on this page was photographed in West Wales in June.
