Geranium robertianum - Herb Robert
This member of the true (wild) geranium
family is very common in Wales. It grows in hedgerows and woodland; where its seeds
germinate in dry soil, such as in crevices of walls and stone bridges, the leaves of herb
robert turn red.
Herb robert can usually be found in bloom from April until November, and
in very sheltered locations you can find flowers throughout the year. It is generally at
its best in July and August.
