Sedum anglicum - English stonecrop - (Crassulaceae)

The stonecrops - and there are several species in Britain - prefer dry soils and plenty of sunshine. English Stonecrop is widespread and common throughout the UK and Ireland, but particularly so in the south and east.

If you walk along the coastal paths of West Wales you will see lots of these pretty summer flowers. They also grown in dry stone walls in many parts of Britain, where you will also find Biting Stonecrop.
