Stachys palustris - Marsh Woundwort
At its best in sunlit places beside ponds
and streams, Marsh Woundwort is also commonly seen on roadside verges and in damp meadows.

Marsh woundwort is a member of the mint family, and it has only a slight smell (unlike the
rather similar Hedge Woundwort, which gives off a very strong odour).
