Stellaria graminea - Lesser Stitchwort
The smooth stems of lesser stitchwort
distinguish it from its larger and earlier-flowering relative the Greater Stitchwort.

Lesser stitchwort is often all but obscured in the grassy slopes and drier
meadows it tends to prefer. It begins blooming in late May, but is not really plentiful
until late June. It continues blooming until the end of August. At typically 0.5 to 1 cm
in diameter, the flowers are about half the size of those of Greater
Stitchwort.
