Tripodion tetraphyllum - Bladder Vetch

Bladder Vetch is a member of the Pea family (Fabaceae) and is common throughout the Mediterranean region and is often to be found on waste or cultivated land, road and tracksides. It thrives on bare, stony ground. It flowers from March until June.

The specimen above was photographed in the Algarve in April.
