Trollius europaeus - Globe Flower
This larger-than-others member of the Ranunculus
family reaches a heigh on 50 cm. The globe flower is often found in wet meadows and
sometimes occurs in damp woodland and scrub areas.
Where they do occur, globe flowers can form large clumps and create a wonderful splash
of colour during their blooming season in June, July and August.
Globe flowers are not widespread in Wales, but they can be found in many
parts.
