Veronica beccabunga - Brooklime
This low-growing relative of the speedwells
is found growing in slow-flowing streams and permanently wet places. At
first glance it is easily mistaken for water
forget-me-nots, but it has much thicker stems and larger leaves.

The flowers of the brooklime first appear in May, and in shady places
this marsh plant generally continues blooming until September.
