Vicia cracca - Tufted Vetch - (Fabaceae)

This plant is common and widespread throughout the UK and Ireland.

This tall clambering perennial, a member of the Pea family, grows in hedgerows and upon bushes. The flowers all line just one side of the stem.

You can expect to see this member of the pea family in bloom from June until the end of August.
