Ringlet Butterfly - Aphantus hyperantus

Seen on the wing from June to the end of August, this is a common butterfly of woodland clearings, hedgerows and scrubby wasteland.

 

 

Wherever there are brambles along a woodland edge, the ringlet butterfly is attracted to their flowers.
