Monarch Butterfly - Danaus plexippus

With climate change this lovely American butterfly may be finding the stormy spring weather a major problem as it migrates thousands of miles across te ocean to Europe. Reduction in forest cover is a major threat to the survival of the monarch butterfly, whose numbers have plumetted in recent years.
