Speckled Wood Butterfly - Pararge aegeriaThis is a butterfly of woodland and unkempt hedgerows. On bright sunny days, speckled woods are often to be seen flitting around in forest clearings, where their speckled appearance blends in with the dappled patterns of light and shade.
