Little Ringed Plover - Charadrius dubius

Pictures by Ray Tipper - More about Ray...

The Little Ringed Plover is essentially a summer visitor and passage migrant that breeds on the shingle ‘beaches’ of rivers, reservoirs and dams. Most easily separated from (Common) Ringed Plover by its conspicuous yellow eye-ring and (in flight) by the lack of a white wing-bar.
