Iberian Chiffchaff - Pylloscopus ibericus

Pictures by Ray Tipper - More about Ray...

The Iberian Chiffchaff is a summer visitor. Plumage doubtfully separable in the field from Common Chiffchaff and best distinguished by song which commences with Common Chiffchaff-type notes that merge into a few fluty notes and end in a dry trill. The order of the flute and trill notes may be reversed. This photograph were taken at Fonte de Ferrea.
