Blackcap - Sylvia atricapilla

Pictures by Ray Tipper - More about Ray...

The Blackcap is a common and widespread winter visitor. Males sing throughout the winter, a subdued, rambling warble which, curiously, has been suggested as the birds practicing for their spring concertos.
